The Benefits Colon Cleanse And What It Involves

By Daniel Patterson

Colon cleansing is a relatively new form of new-age health practices that involve, well, you guessed it, cleaning the inner colon, which is also known as the large intestine (the end part). With all of the bad media on just about everything that can hurt you these days, people are always looking for new ways to make their bodies more healthy and to give themselves a little more vitality. This is how the benefits colon cleanse comes to play.

This program actually has its roots in an ancient culture from thousands of years ago. The Ancient Egyptians believed that as people ate their food and it was digested that over years and years some of the waste created got stuck in the folds of skin within the large intestine, petrified, and began to release toxins into the blood stream. This may not seem like such a strange idea considering that many medicines are taken and absorbed by way of the rectum.

It is recommended that you eat healthier during a cleansing diet. It is best not to eat greasy foods and processed meats. The best diet to follow would be fresh fruits and vegetables, pure and fresh fruit juices, and organic products as much as possible.

Then they massage your abdomen for a while, presumably to loosen the stools, and insert another tube and take all the water out. The idea behind this method is simply to wash everything out of your lower intestines that could be stuck or petrified, leaving you free and clear and without those toxins.

One of the most significant things to take into account when selecting any type of any cleansing program would be the things that are on the item you use. When you use cleansers, you will find the benefits of using a natural organic system, which will help to provide the particular cleaning that is required with no harsh chemical compounds. After all, the last thing that you'd like to do will harm your overall health if you use chemical compounds in order to restore it to its the best possible ranges.

Many of us eat a diet that contains large amounts of fatty or sugary processed foods and take very little exercise. These foods are hard for our bodies to digest and can be very toxic. Added to the toxins prevalent in the atmosphere, these accumulate in the body and cause symptoms of ill health such as lack of energy, bloating, weight gain and poor mental health. This buildup of waste products and resulting pressure on the large intestines can cause conditions such as a prolapsed, collapsed or spastic colon, diverticulitis, hernias, and hemorrhoids.

Bentonite clay, which is a safely ingested clay that absorbs water to form a gel and so works as a mild laxative and regulatory agent. Slippery Elm, which soothes the digestive system and works as a detoxifier. It also calms the mucus membranes, stomach, and intestines. These cleansers also contains a range of other natural substances known to promote digestive health, regulate bowel movements and soothe the lining of the digestive tract.

After you finish your diet, you will want to ease back into eating regular food. Be careful not to shock your colon with heavy, fat laced foods. You should really try and change your eating habits after your diet. Start with light foods and slowly ease back into fiber-filled whole grains, proteins, and dairy products. Go easy on refined sugars, white flour, and oils. Packaged foods are not good for you and most of them are not healthy.
